ICGB 2010 Pre- and Post- Conference

Dear ICGB delegates and touring party,

We look forward to your presence at the ICGB in Kuching on 24-31 July 2010.

We know that for some of you, this may be the first time you are visiting Malaysia, or this part of the world, and would like to see and experience as much as possible. GB Malaysia is so pleased to be able to play host to our fellow Brigaders from around the world. To enable us to facilitate your trip/ holiday, please send in details of your travel intentions as soon as possible.

For those who would like to spend a few days in

Kuala Lumpur, the national capital of Malaysia, you have made a good choice!

There is so much to see and do in and around KL. If you want to venture out of the city, there are many places just a few hours away, like Putrajaya (the federal administrative centre "a city in a garden". Or Malacca ... full of history and interesting stories. If you have a few more days, you may like to go up north to Penang, "the Pearl of the Orient" or to the east coast with its more laid-back charming traditions and pristine white beaches.

Let us know soon so that arrangements can be made to suit your tastes.

There is a gap of more than 10 years between this post and the last one.  Why?  Because I have decided to write/blog now that I have more time as a retiree. Trying to remember what happened in the past. Impressions on Holy Land Trip

Cobwebs of the Past i ask myself what i was doing in the holy land. a pilgrimage? looking for some upliftment in my spiritual life? evidence of the bible land? to walk the land my Saviour walked? i guess ... it was all of the above and what did i find? God is beyond tombs... temples ...time ...sticks... stones... space God is with us where we will place Him in our hearts and in our lives ... we are His body in the world Mount Sinai at Sunrise I lift up my eyes to the hills where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth. (Psa. 121) This tree growing by the stream flowing from the melting waters of Hebron reminds me of Psa.1 ... like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. there was also fish in the stream, remember? Near this area, Chai Hok again reminded of Jesus' words when he asked, Who do you say I am?

Following His Footprints

Hi Fellow Travellers / JPs (Jerusalem Pilgrims) of Ps Chai Hok's group (14-24 Sept 2008) ! It's been a week since we returned from that incredible trip to Dubai, Egypt, Israel and Jordan. How have you been since then? I, for one, was glad to be back even though it meant back to the grindstone of work. But how I praise God for this wonderful journey with you all: in holy communion with our Lord - like the picture of our Holy Communion by the Sea of Galilea.
